Overview

Echo is a clean, modern Android music streaming and playback application engineered from the ground up using Kotlin and 100% Jetpack Compose, completely eliminating XML layouts. Under the hood, Echo leverages Android's cutting-edge Media3 and ExoPlayer engines to deliver gapless playback, robust background audio streaming, lock screen media controls, and headset integration. Features include intuitive queue management, custom playlists, and persistence with a "continue listening" state engine. Architected following modern Android best practices using MVVM and Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous data pipelines and smooth UI rendering.
